The Russian Scientific-Educational center is an instrument for training highly qualified specialists in the field of Russian language and literature. Graduates of the Faculty of Philology of different years work in educational institutions, scientific journals, publishing houses, on radio and television. Having a wide cultural training, they easily find work both in the country and abroad.

          The rich history of the center dates back to 1946. The of the Russian language and literature were opened in the year of founding of the Moldavian State University. In 1997 they were united in one department – Russian philology. In 2014, the department of Russian philology was created on the basis of the chair of Russian philology. The Russian Scientific and Educational Center was opened with the support of the fund «Russian Philology» in 2009. In 2016, the Department of Russian Philology was decided to merge with the Center. During its existence, not only students have learnt about the Center, but also teachers, pupils, and foreign guests. The doors of the Center are open to everybody and to everyone who is interested in the Russian language, Russian literature, Russian culture in general. At different times, the guests of the Center were the rector of Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov – academician Sadovnichy, university teachers from Bulgaria, France, graduate students from Germany and Turkey.

          In these walls, students, masters from the People’s Republic of China, were trained. A few years ago, the university welcomed the great-grandson of Alexander S. Pushkin and his wife who are living in Belgium, in Brussels. The atmosphere of the Center has the ability to receive information in books, textbooks, on disks and to concentrated work: the Center has a computer class where students can work on course and diploma projects, find the necessary information in preparation for practical classes. The doors of the Center are open to everyone and to everyone who is interested in the Russian language, Russian literature, Russian culture in general. In the center work- give lectures, conduct seminars and practical lections, conduct consultations- teachers- Russian specialists, who have behind them the highest scientific school of Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov, Leningrad State University. There they studied in graduate school, there they defended their dissertations.
